Custodian
About the role
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and care of housing units, dining halls, lecture halls, and other on-site campus facilities.
Responsibilities
- Empty garbage cans and deposit trash in campus collection stations
- Follow written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, supplies and equipment; comply with safety policies and procedures
- Cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, lecture hall and meeting room spaces, dining hall, commons area, housing units, office spaces, lab buildings, etc.
- May wash interior or easily accessible exterior windows
- Move furniture and supplies on an incidental basis
- Report cleaning supply inventory
- Support event operations with set up and breakdown
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
