Custodian

About the role

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and care of housing units, dining halls, lecture halls, and other on-site campus facilities.

Responsibilities

• Empty garbage cans and deposit trash in campus collection stations
• Follow written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, supplies and equipment; comply with safety policies and procedures
• Cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, lecture hall and meeting room spaces, dining hall, commons area, housing units, office spaces, lab buildings, etc.
• May wash interior or easily accessible exterior windows
• Move furniture and supplies on an incidental basis
• Report cleaning supply inventory
• Support event operations with set up and breakdown
• Perform other duties as assigned
