Custodian

Maintain cleanliness of building

• sweeping, mopping, buffing and vacuuming floors
• dusting and cleaning furniture
• emptying trash containers
• cleaning and disinfecting restroom walls, floors and fixtures
• cleaning windows and glass doors

Other duties

Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods
• Light lifting (less than 50 lbs)
• Some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis
• Restricted: Exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes, and unpleasant but not hazardous odors
• Occasional exposure to risk controlled by safety precautions

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions on chemicals used for cleaning
• Flexibility to work weekends if needed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience

• Eighth grade education
• 1-year experience in custodian work

Preferred Qualifications

• High School/GED

Pay and Benefits

• Minimum starting salary: $23,118 annually ($11.85 per hour)
• Maximum pay: $27,785 annually
