Custodian

Position Summary

The Custodian position assists the Custodial Coordinator in keeping the buildings clean. These duties include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, event set ups, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, wiping down white boards, emptying trash, and servicing/maintaining equipment relevant to the department.

Essential Functions

• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in our buildings that is welcoming to students, employees and community members.
• Promotes, supports and participates in student recruitment and retention efforts.
• Maintains a culture of consistency and equity when dealing with all members of the campus community independent of race, gender, or sexuality.
• Safely and independently performs all duties relevant to the position such as setting up events, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, etc., including lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Maintains a culture of safety within the department.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school degree and have no less than 3 years of experience working in a custodial capacity.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Salary Range

$28,010 - $32,912
