This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team while making a visible impact on one of North Dakota’s premier cultural attractions.
Schedule
The core hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and typically include every fifth weekend.
Pay
The posted salary reflects the hiring range for this position. Upon successful completion of the new employee probationary period, employees may be eligible for a monthly salary increase.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares the museum for visitors before opening.
- Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, windows, walls, and related furnishings.
- Responds promptly to spills and other custodial needs to maintain a safe environment.
- Sanitizes drinking fountains and restrooms and collects and disposes of waste and recyclables.
- Aids in the setup and teardown of events.
- Maintains the facility and reports safety concerns or maintenance needs to the appropriate team members.
- Performs other custodial and related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of custodial or facility maintenance experience, including duties such as vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing restrooms and fixtures.
- The ability to safely operate and transport equipment such as walk-behind sweepers, Genie lifts, and floor scrubbers.
- The ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing for extended periods of time.
