Custodian
About the role
Custodian position available in the Facilities department at St. Olaf College. This non-exempt, part-time role requires a stable work history and may involve occasional weekend and evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Clean floors, sweep, dust mop, mop, auto scrub, wax, polish, vacuum, carpet extraction.
- Clean bathrooms/showers, disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers.
- Sweep and mop floors, restock soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
- Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces, clean glass, walls, woodwork, vents, and light fixtures.
- Clean windowsills, desktops, and classroom boards.
- Trash and recycle, collect trash/recycle material and place it in designated containers.
- Maintain maintenance tasks, remove snow, unplug sink/toilet drains, replace light bulbs, report repairs.
- Assist in buildings with staff shortages, assist in event set-ups, move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Stable work history. Preferred qualifications include vocational/technical school training and previous cleaning experience with floor machines, hydraulic man-lift, and snow blowers.

$21-$23 per hour.
