Custodian

About the role

This is a 12 month contract position with 250 work days, following the SISD Compensation Plan.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment and furniture
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb, and carry continuously for at least 4 hours without a break
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies and chemicals

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of floors, student desks, walls, doors, door facings, light switches, countertops, toilets, urinals, sinks, water fountains
• Keeping the school building neat and clean
• Complying with SISD custodial procedures
