About the role
Peterson is a family-owned and operated business with over 85 years of experience shaping communities through construction and maintenance projects. We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and scrub all floors.
- Empty trash, garbage, and recycling containers daily.
- Clean and wash walls, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Clean all restroom fixtures and refill dispensers.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and furniture.
- Complete assigned online training by the established due date(s).
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Assist up to 30% of the time with clerical duties including reviewing maintenance work orders, document scanning and filing, email communications, and updating expense spreadsheets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a custodian, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to obtain a lift truck certification.

- Basic computer skills (navigate basic computer systems and programs, clock in and out of work, complete online training courses, effective communication via email and other communication platforms).
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
