Qualifications

• Physically able to perform assigned duties.
• The district will provide an opportunity for employees to participate in a district supported GED program.

Performance Responsibilities

• Maintain a working knowledge of methods, materials and equipment needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge for the care of all assigned equipment.
• Perform heavy cleaning activities (scrub, mop, wax, polish, dust, wash windows, etc.) as assigned.
• Complete work on schedule and according to established standards.
• Receive, account for and distribute materials and supplies as directed.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed.
• Report and / or complete minor repairs as directed.
• Report all damage and major repairs to supervisor immediately.
• Assume responsibility for unlocking / securing facilities as assigned.
• Work with a variety of chemicals, some of which may be mixed by self for use.
• Read and interpret manuals for use and maintenance of equipment.
• Mow grass and perform other routine care of grounds as assigned.
• Attend in-service training sessions on custodial related subjects.
• Use effective, positive interpersonal communication skills.
• May be required to wear respirator for some tasks.
• Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
• Fingerprints Employment is contingent on your fingerprints being cleared by the clearinghouse.

Raise Information

RANGE OF PAY: $15.97/hr - $17.48/hr (While in effect, additional compensation from the Millage initiative will be awarded annually. For the 2025-2026 school year, the amount for this position is $8,128 and will be prorated from July 1, 2025.)
