Custodian
About The Position
As a Custodian with the City of Grand Junction Facilities Division, you will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of assigned buildings and facilities. This position will be placed primarily at the Community Recreation Center.
Candidates should be highly self-motivated and self-directed, efficient, and able to work both independently and as a team member.

What You'll Do
- Perform indoor facility cleaning and maintenance, primarily at the Community Recreation Center
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, including fixtures, floors, showers, and related facilities.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors using a variety of chemicals, cleansers and equipment, vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture.
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment, and set-up rooms for meetings and special functions.
- Perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Secure facilities after normal business hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Six (6) months of experience in cleaning and maintaining building interiors is desirable
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
- Ability to work between the hours of 4:30 pm and 1:00 am.
