Join our dynamic facilities team as a Custodian, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and their teams. This position supports JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services by ensuring all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facility spaces while supporting inventory control and security protocols. What your day-to-day will look like

• Clean and sanitize facility restrooms and bathrooms using established practices and procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Perform general cleaning duties including dusting and wiping furniture, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and emptying wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Operate and maintain power equipment such as buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, high-speed buffers, and vacuums for floor care, including stripping, buffing, and applying floor sealer and finish to hard surface floors.
• Assist with facility setup for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events as required, including moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Conduct security rounds by checking for unlocked doors and windows, reporting unauthorized occupants, and turning off lights in vacant rooms.
• Document all cleaning activities on daily logs, report safety concerns to supervisors, and identify quality issues for escalation.
• Support inventory control, refill restroom dispensers, reorder supplies, handle recycling materials, and remove debris from sidewalks, grounds, and parking lots.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, and move safely to perform job tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Demonstrated ability to stand for extended periods and operate cleaning equipment in a timely and effective manner.
• Adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and enforcing policies established by management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a customer service environment and interacting professionally with clients.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Proficiency with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Previous experience operating manual pallet jacks and handling facility maintenance equipment.
• Ability to identify quality criteria for task performance and proactively share ideas to improve team effectiveness.
