Custodian (1st Shift) 10:00am - 6:30pm CHS

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Emptying trash cans.
• Vacuuming carpets.
• Mopping floors.
• Ensuring that all cleaning supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, and reporting any larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work.
• A strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently.

Working Conditions

• Work in an educational environment.
• Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and lift and manipulate objects up to 50 pounds without restrictions up to 125 pounds.
• Use hands and fingers to grasp and manipulate tools and controls, reach objects above the head with arms and hands, climb ladders, push and pull equipment, and move furniture.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception.
• Noise levels in the working environments may be moderately loud or loud.
• Occasionally, work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
