Custodial Worker, Residential

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned work areas, including classrooms, general areas, offices, and restrooms
• Mops, vacuums, scrubs, and buffs floors using buffers, automatic floor machines, and electric or battery-operated ultra high-speed floor machines (weighing up to 15 pounds)
• Cleans carpets using extractors, shampooers, and other appropriate equipment
• Dusts and washes furniture, walls, and window sills
• Cleans glass partitions
• Cleans face bowls, toilets, and urinals
• Empties trash
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completion of High School courses through the tenth grade
• No previous experience required, but preference may be given to candidates with relevant institutional cleaning experience (e.g., universities, hospitals)
