Custodial Worker - Part Time 32 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, cleans & maintains restrooms, living facilities &/or dining areas, offices (e.g., sweeps, mops, strips, buffs & waxes floors; vacuums carpets; cleans glass & mirrors; washes windows & walls; scrubs sinks, countertops, toilets; cleans & empties receptacles; dust varying surfaces; replenishes soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
• Responsible for exercising principles of infection control & implements infection control policies & procedures (e.g., wipes up spills & fluids on floor; washes & cleans resident beds & other furniture; proper use of personal protective equipment)
• Checks on supplies; stocks supply closets
• Reports need for repair of equipment; reports evidence of fire, illegal entry & theft of property
• Cleans offices (e.g., vacuums carpet, cleans & dusts furniture, fixtures & equipment; cleans & empties trash receptacles)
• Performs any additional job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary. In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2), revised code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Pay

Starting Hourly Pay: $19.44 with multiple pay increases over your first years of service
