Custodial Worker - All American Restaurant

Duties

  • Vacuum cleans rugs and draperies
  • Shampoos rungs and upholstery
  • Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors
  • Dusts, waxes and polishes office furniture
  • Empties cigarette disposal cans and waste baskets
  • Cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, walls and ceiling fixtures
  • Moves and sets up tables, chairs and other equipment as required for events
  • Maintains restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition
  • Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, sinks and toilet bowls
  • Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap
  • Cleans mirrors and water fountains
  • Performs light maintenance such as changing light bulbs
  • Maintains an adequate supply of cleaning materials
  • Polices outside buildings within ten (10) feet

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required
  • Work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighting up to 40 pounds
  • May be required to climb/descend stairs and properly placed stepladders

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs, follow simple oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects
  • Must be able to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, cleaning compounds and solutions and perform minor maintenance on this equipment

Additional Information

  • Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period
  • Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required
  • We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States

  • For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes
