Custodial Staff, 1st Shift

Duties

• Cleans all surfaces in assigned areas.
• Performs floor care in assigned areas.
• Removes waste from assigned areas.
• Maintains equipment and reports maintenance and supply needs.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including faculty, staff, students, vendors, visitors and the community using positive communication skills and established protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in the custodial field.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in the custodial field (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the custodial field.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the custodial field (preferred).

Skills

• Knowledge of best cleaning practices.
• Ability to operate equipment used in providing custodial services.
• Good communication skills.

Pay

SC State Pay Band: GEN04. Minimum starting salary: $31,200.00.

Schedule

Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
