About the role
The Custodial Shift Leader is responsible for safely performing contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform contract duties as assigned by management.
- Provide quality customer service at all times.
- Lead and supervise a team of custodial workers.
- Work independently as needed to support the group effort.
- Perform general tasks detailed in the assigned contract.
- Interact appropriately with customers and team members.
- Drive to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year.
- Follow emergency operations work assignments per customer requirements.
- Work early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, evening hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow shovels or snowplows.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in custodial or related services.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
- Physically able to perform general tasks detailed in the assigned contract.
- Able to interact appropriately with customers and team members.
- Valid driver’s license in the state they reside, with a satisfactory driving record and insurable under corporate policy.
- Possess the ability to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate.
Physical Requirements
- May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions.
- Most work will take place indoors.
- May work with cleaning chemicals.
- Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements.
- May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours as well as weekends and holidays.
- Regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive), and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow shovels or snowplows.
