Custodial Services Worker

About the role

This position is located in Custodial Services at the Downtown Campus. The Custodial Services Worker provides a clean and safe environment within Reynolds facilities for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Performing general housekeeping functions
• Aiding with special setups
• Serving on the college-wide emergency team
• First responder to inclement weather and other emergencies
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned
• May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor

Requirements

• Working knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Knowledge and skill in proper cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of and ability to apply proper safety techniques to be used in day-to-day housekeeping operations
• Ability to operate buffers, burnishers, wet and dry vacuums and other housekeeping equipment
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects; stand for extended periods of time; and to tolerate contact with a variety of cleaning products and solutions

Qualifications

• Current hands-on work experience in custodial services
• Custodial services experience in a school or institution-type environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Operation of a State Vehicle

Pay

Salary commensurate with experience. Hiring range is $40,000-$43,056.

Schedule

Schedule is assigned by supervisor. Non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
