Title Custodial Lead Job Description Job Overview The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff. Roles & Responsibilities To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. Perform janitorial dutiesPerform all duties listed on the daily scheduleProvide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial SupervisorAssist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as neededOperate motorized cleaning equipmentTrack equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairSchedule clean up and repairs as neededMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaTrack and maintain supply inventoryAssist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipmentPerform quality, service, and safety inspectionsReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorReport employee personnel and customer issues to supervisorMonitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and suppliesCorrect at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediatelyProvide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement Qualification To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least 1-year related experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
