Custodial Floater | 2nd shift | (STF3367)

About the role

A Custodial Floater provides cleaning and maintenance support throughout campus facilities, filling in for regular custodians during absences due to vacation, illness, or leave to ensure consistent cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards across all assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential daily cleaning of buildings, including dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, furniture, restroom fixtures, toilets, and sinks using custodial tools and equipment.
• Maintain interior spaces from ceiling to floor, including cleaning light fixtures, replacing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC supply and return vents, and changing HVAC filters as needed.
• Assist other employees as required.
• Adhere to established cleaning schedules and quality standards in various campus buildings.
• Arrive on time, attend work regularly, and successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.

Schedule

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Schedule is evenings and/or weekends; reasonable flexibility is available with advance notice.
