Curriculum Developer/Trainer, AACU Employee Training and Development

About the role

This position is a member of the People Team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing in-house, online, and on-site training in the methodologies of loan system functionality, correct lending procedures, and loan underwriting in accordance with Credit Union policies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product, procedural, and system training on lending, loan processing, and numerous other topics to specific workgroups
  • Create high-quality print and web-based curriculum, manuals, and job aids, often under short time constraints
  • Facilitate and customize training programs for lenders and other staff to meet operational needs
  • Review internal Policies and Procedures for accuracy and clarity
  • Create an outstanding employee training experience
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account and related information
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent (minimum requirement)
  • Bachelor’s degree in an area of study relevant to the position (preferred)
  • Two to five years recent consumer lending or loan processing experience (preferred)

Skills

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through work experience, education, or hands-on use
  • Knowledge of AACU systems including MeridianLink, Episys, and Synapsys
  • Knowledge of AACU loan products and underwriting guidelines
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to manage all aspects of a training class
  • Knowledge of credit union lending procedures
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate a class of adult learners
  • Ability to recognize when employees require additional help
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Passion for helping employees excel in serving members
  • Ability to match appropriate products and services with members
  • Ability to take complicated information and deliver it in an easy-to-remember format
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel and adapt to some shift changes for training events
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
