About the role
This position is a member of the People Team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing in-house, online, and on-site training in the methodologies of loan system functionality, correct lending procedures, and loan underwriting in accordance with Credit Union policies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product, procedural, and system training on lending, loan processing, and numerous other topics to specific workgroups
- Create high-quality print and web-based curriculum, manuals, and job aids, often under short time constraints
- Facilitate and customize training programs for lenders and other staff to meet operational needs
- Review internal Policies and Procedures for accuracy and clarity
- Create an outstanding employee training experience
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account and related information
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Bachelor’s degree in an area of study relevant to the position (preferred)
- Two to five years recent consumer lending or loan processing experience (preferred)
Skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through work experience, education, or hands-on use
- Knowledge of AACU systems including MeridianLink, Episys, and Synapsys
- Knowledge of AACU loan products and underwriting guidelines
- Skilled in project management with the ability to manage all aspects of a training class
- Knowledge of credit union lending procedures
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to motivate a class of adult learners
- Ability to recognize when employees require additional help
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for helping employees excel in serving members
- Ability to match appropriate products and services with members
- Ability to take complicated information and deliver it in an easy-to-remember format
- Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Ability to travel and adapt to some shift changes for training events
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
