About the role
The role is responsible for managing the museum's collection and ensuring its preservation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the care and maintenance of the museum's collections.
- Develop and implement strategies for the preservation of artifacts and artworks.
- Collaborate with curators and other staff to ensure accurate documentation of all collections.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in museum curation or related field.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain large collections.
- Strong knowledge of conservation techniques and preservation methods.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Knowledge of museum policies and procedures.
- Experience with database management systems.
