Curator of Exhibits

About the role

The Manager of Exhibitions will oversee all aspects of exhibition development, installation, and maintenance at the MPMA headquarters museum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative exhibition concepts that align with the mission and goals of MPMA.
• Work closely with curators to select and acquire appropriate artifacts and materials for exhibitions.
• Oversee the design, construction, and installation of exhibitions, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and accessibility.
• Maintain and update existing exhibitions to ensure they remain engaging and relevant.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote exhibitions through various channels.
• Manage the budget and schedule for exhibition projects, including procurement of materials and services.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to exhibitions.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in museum studies, history, art history, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in exhibition management or a similar field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

The position requires a full-time schedule with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
