About the role
The University of Oregon Law Library is seeking an Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian to lead efforts in promoting student engagement, digital literacy, and practice-ready skills through the integration of current and emerging technologies.
- Lead efforts to integrate artificial intelligence and data analytics into teaching, curriculum development, and research.
- Coordinate student outreach activities and serve as a law library liaison to student-run law journals and other law student organizations.
Responsibilities
As the Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement with emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with faculty and students to integrate technology into legal education and research practices.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions on digital literacy and technology.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the library's online presence and resources.
- Engage with law school administration and student groups to promote the library's services and resources.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Experience in integrating technology into library services and instruction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and data analytics.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with data analytics tools and platforms.
- Background in legal education or library science.
- Previous experience in a similar role.

Pay
