About the role

The University of Oregon Law Library is seeking an Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian to lead efforts in promoting student engagement, digital literacy, and practice-ready skills through the integration of current and emerging technologies.

  • Lead efforts to integrate artificial intelligence and data analytics into teaching, curriculum development, and research.
  • Coordinate student outreach activities and serve as a law library liaison to student-run law journals and other law student organizations.

Responsibilities

As the Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian, you will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement with emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and students to integrate technology into legal education and research practices.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions on digital literacy and technology.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the library's online presence and resources.
  • Engage with law school administration and student groups to promote the library's services and resources.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
  • Experience in integrating technology into library services and instruction.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and data analytics.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with data analytics tools and platforms.
  • Background in legal education or library science.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.
