About the role
The primary responsibility of a Cultivation Technician is to oversee the cultivation process, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards. This includes monitoring plant health, managing pest control, and maintaining the growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for both employees and plants.
- Monitor plant growth cycles and adjust conditions as necessary to optimize yield and quality.
- Implement and enforce pest management strategies to protect crops from damage.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in agriculture or horticulture.
- Knowledge of plant biology, soil science, and crop management practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain greenhouse equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
- Experience with chemical applications and safety procedures.
Skills
- Knowledge of greenhouse operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients.
