Cultivation Associate

Pay

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

Full‑time, non‑exempt position. Shift: Wednesday – Sunday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Location: Buckeye Lake, OH.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily plant care including cutting, rooting, transplanting, watering, feeding, trimming, staking, and pruning.
• Track humidity, moisture, and temperature to maintain optimal growing conditions.
• Inspect plants for leaf health, bloom size, pests, or disease and remove substandard plants.
• Assist with harvest: cut plants, trim, remove flowering tops, weigh products, and record inventory in the electronic tracking system.
• Support curing by hanging and dry‑racking flowers, monitoring climate, labeling, weighing, and entering inventory data.
• Operate and maintain lighting, irrigation, and climate‑control systems; stock supplies; keep cultivation areas and tools clean and sanitized.
• Help prepare and package products, including premium extraction items, during high‑demand periods.
• Follow state regulations and security procedures by accurately labeling plants and entering inventory information.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Passion for plants with experience harvesting in a professional or home setting (gardening counts).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, inventory, and organizational skills.
• Solid math and measurement abilities; comfortable operating a scale.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for 8‑10 hours per shift; lift/carry up to 50 lb regularly (heavier items with assistance); frequent repetitive hand, wrist, bending, squatting, and reaching motions; climb ladders or step stools; use required PPE.
• Willingness to work in environments with high humidity, varying temperatures, strong odors, soil, water, fertilizer, dust, pollen, plant pathogens, cleaning solvents, loud noises, and OSHA‑approved CO₂ levels.
• Even better: knowledge of lighting, irrigation, soil, nutrients; hands‑on experience in landscaping, horticulture, or agriculture; understanding of different cannabis strains and their growing needs.
