Job Responsibilities
- Assist chef as needed in execution of production
- Aid in the daily preparation of basic recipes
- Unload, stock, and rotate products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
- Inform chef of shortages before items run out
- Maintain knowledge and use of kitchen equipment
- Breakdown work station and perform closing duties
- Return food items to proper storage areas
- Rotate and label all items being put away
- Clean up and wipe down food prep area
- Reach-in and walk-in storage areas
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year culinary experience in a restaurant kitchen
- Experience in a 5 star or fine-dining restaurant preferred
- Basic knife skills and willingness to learn
- Willingness to take direction from chefs and cooks
- Basic culinary knowledge a plus
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and work cards
- Minimum age of 18 years
