Culinary Trainee - Catering & Banquets

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist chef as needed in execution of production
  • Aid in the daily preparation of basic recipes
  • Unload, stock, and rotate products
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
  • Inform chef of shortages before items run out
  • Maintain knowledge and use of kitchen equipment
  • Breakdown work station and perform closing duties
  • Return food items to proper storage areas
  • Rotate and label all items being put away
  • Clean up and wipe down food prep area
  • Reach-in and walk-in storage areas

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year culinary experience in a restaurant kitchen
  • Experience in a 5 star or fine-dining restaurant preferred
  • Basic knife skills and willingness to learn
  • Willingness to take direction from chefs and cooks
  • Basic culinary knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and work cards
  • Minimum age of 18 years
