Culinary Service Cook

About the role

The Culinary Service Cook prepares, serves, and/or be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. They increase residents' acceptance and compliance especially among those with therapeutic diet orders, promoting food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls. They provide meal service that meets residents' desires while preserving their personal dignity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and/or be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees.
• Increase residents' acceptance and compliance especially among those with therapeutic diet orders.
• Promote food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls.
• Provide meal service that meets the desires of the resident, allowing as much choice as possible and preserving the element of personal dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Must qualify for employment after a criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
