Culinary Service Cook

About the role

The Culinary Service Cook prepares, serves, and/or be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. They increase residents' acceptance and compliance with therapeutic diet orders, promoting food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls. They also provide meal service that meets residents' desires while preserving their personal dignity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to therapeutic diet orders
• Increase residents' acceptance and compliance with dietary plans
• Promote food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls
• Provide meal service that meets residents' desires while preserving their personal dignity

Requirements

• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents
• Understanding of geriatric residents' special needs
• Criminal background check required, per Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines

Qualifications

• Employment eligibility after successful criminal background study

• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow therapeutic diet orders
• Customer service skills
