Culinary Production Assistant
About the role
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! Put your passion for food and culinary experience to use and join our remarkable culinary team. You will support production, retail food venue, patient meals, and catering operations to ensure the right food is available for the right person at the right time.
Work Schedule
This position is a 100% FTE, Tuesday–Saturday position. First- and second-shift schedules are available. Shift start times are flexible and may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Training may begin on first shift, regardless of the assigned shift. The position is based at University Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Follow standardized recipes and production schedules to prepare, portion, weigh, package, and label large-batch food items
- Adhere to Wisconsin Food Code, ServSafe, and UW Health standards
- Manage ingredient rotation, monitor critical control points, and sanitize equipment to keep food/meal production on schedule
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Food service and/or customer service experience
- PREFERRED: ServSafe Certification
