Culinary Driver

About the role

The Broadmoor is committed to creating a culture of family and community while providing exceptional service to guests and team members. This role involves delivering prepared foods and supplies to different outlets.

Responsibilities

• Pick up food from production areas and load onto truck.
• Deliver to appropriate outlets.
• Update banquet worksheets and deliver food accordingly.
• Work in a prompt and organized manner to ensure timely deliveries.
• Keep truck clean.
• Return empty cart and leftover food from functions back to appropriate location.
• Safely and correctly operate lift gate at the back of the truck.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip safety inspection of assigned vehicles.
• Drive vehicles in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Communicate effectively with other team members using radios.
• Help clean and maintain all work facilities.
• Keep vehicle fueled and oil checked as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance or adjustments as required.
• Report any accidents or damage to a vehicle to the Executive Steward.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Dress in proper uniform to include department-approved footwear.
• Help to empty the trash truck when full.
• Assemble equipment needed for banquet functions on Queen Mary.
• Drive equipment to and from functions as needed.
• Assist with keeping the loading dock areas clean of carts and equipment.
• Assist with shoveling snow and placing ice melt in delivery areas.
• Be safety-minded in all tasks related to the delivery of products.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to assist with driving shuttles or transporting guests as needed.
• Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older.
• Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Work environment that is primarily indoors and outdoors at times.
