Culinary Associate I/Dish Room - Culinary/Nutrition

Responsibilities

• Ensures dishes, utensils, pots and pans are clean, dry, and stored appropriately.
• Performs general cleaning tasks as assigned, including mopping floors.
• Follows HACCP principles in completing tasks.
• Accurately manages position paperwork (dish machine temperatures, 3-compartment sink form, etc.).
• Fulfills hand hygiene responsibilities (uses gloves when scrapping trays, washes hands between working on dirty side of dish room and clean side, etc.).
• Communicates effectively and follows oral and written instructions.
• Utilizes appropriate scripting and responds to patients/internal and external customers.
• Effectively and safely uses position equipment, performing applicable cleaning/sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to push and pull wheeled carts.
• Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to tolerate frequent temperature changes, working around equipment that generates heat, steam and cold.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Food Service or Customer Service Experience.
