About the role

The Fountains at Hosanna! is conveniently located in Lakeville, adjacent to Hosanna Church. We are less than a mile from Highway I-35 and near County 77. The Fountains offers seniors 92 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care apartments. We are known for our exceptional staff, who create a warm, friendly, fun community. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents.

Schedule

Schedule includes: 9 hours every two weeks; Part Time 4:00pm-7:00pm Shift Block Schedule: Week 1: No Shifts; Week 2: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately.
• Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Required: less than 1 year experience
• Preferred: High School Diploma, 1 year experience
