About the role
The Culinary Arts Instructor at Shepherds College will be responsible for developing the Culinary Arts training program, its curriculum, and training schedule. This individual will also serve as the primary instructor for this specialty major.
Responsibilities
- Develop the Culinary Arts occupational training program in its entirety, including the curriculum and instructional schedule
- Serve as the primary instructor for Culinary Arts, utilizing effective training methods
- Audit students' knowledge, understanding, and skill acquisition on a regular basis
- Establish Culinary Arts students' internship opportunities, and oversee placement and evaluation
- Annually review the overall program and its effectiveness, making necessary changes to enhance its overall effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in culinary arts
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to teach in a classroom setting and provide hands-on training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
