Culinary Aide - Arbor Hills

About the Role

We are seeking a personable and attentive Culinary Aide to join our Culinary Department at Arbor Hills Memory Care. This full-time opportunity offers a starting wage of $16/hour, with a day shift available from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Assist residents in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, making suggestions, and explaining the chef's daily specials
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents' beverages as needed
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintaining a clean uniform at all times
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Positive interpersonal skills are required
• A food handler's card is required
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift 15 pounds
• Customer service experience
• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
