Role Mission

The role of IDEA Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers is to instruct 8th-12th grade students in various subjects aligned with state-approved programs of study or courses from selected career clusters. These teachers ensure students master academic and social skills necessary for success in higher education while embodying IDEA’s core values.

What We Offer

Compensation: Starting salary for 0 years of experience is $58,500. Various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership are available, ranging from $500 to $4,000. Additional hourly compensation is provided for after school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned. Comprehensive benefits include employer-paid mental/behavioral health, tuition reimbursement, and a 403(b) plan. A relocation allowance may be offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Touch System Data Entry, Professional Communications, Biotechnology I, Biotechnology II, Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
• Communicate students' progress with student and family on a weekly basis.
• Facilitate and use technology effectively to improve student achievement and manage work-related tasks.
• Develop a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns with campus-wide initiatives.
• Shape and develop a school-wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment.
• Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school-wide meetings and functions.
• Engage in summer and year-long district, school, and personal learning and development.
