CTE Art, Audio Visual and Communications Teachers

About the role

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the career technical education area associated with the production of audio and visual media formats for various purposes such as advertising, video production or photography. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses including: Principles of Art, AV Technology and Communications, Digital Graphics, Photography, Audio/Video Production.
• Instruct students on the production of audio and visual media formats for various purposes.
• Manage student behavior and provide appropriate learning activities and experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid CTE Texas teaching certification in any Arts/Tech App related subject area or verifiable professional experience in the Arts/Tech field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in digital graphics, photography & video production.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of graphic design, photography, and video production.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Salary Scale: Minimum $51,000.00, Maximum $73,210.00

Schedule

Minimum Duty Days: 187 Days
