CTE Agronomy Adjunct Instructor

Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach the principles of agronomy, integrated crop management, agriculture fertilizers and chemicals, grain management.
• Prepare students to successfully pass the commercial pesticide applicators certification test.
• Teach face-to-face at the NICC Calmar location and online for the district.
• Adjunct pay is $725 per credit hour for lectures and $1250 per credit hour for lab.
• Five credits are needed for the 2023 fall semester and up to ten credits are available for the 2024 spring semester.

Qualifications

• Meet minimum experience and education requirements specified by Northeast Iowa Community College.
• Meet the credentialing requirements of the Northeast Community College Quality Faculty Plan.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Education or related field preferred.
• AAS degree with 6000 hours of relevant work experience required.
