About the Role

Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to supply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. This position reports to the Cat Scan Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and CT procedures independently.
• Use independent judgment to evaluate and select proper exposure factors and evaluate images.
• Manipulate equipment, lift, move, and transport patients.
• Adapt to stressful and emergent situations while maintaining good communication skills.
• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, workstations, and computers proficiently.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school.
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiography.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card (or completion within probation period).

Qualifications

• Technical skill in medical scanning, including cross-sectional anatomy and 3-D knowledge.
• Proficiency in computer skills (PACS, HIS/RIS, QC, workstations), power injectors, and CPR.
• Capability for continual standing, walking, and physical demands of patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in CT.
