CT Technologist Weekend Option
About the role
The CT Technologist at Trident Medical Center performs computerized tomography diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist. They operate diagnostic equipment, verify images, prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies, assist in the primary mission of the medical imaging department, and perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic equipment
- Verify images
- Prepare room with necessary equipment and supplies
- Aid in the production of high-quality CT scans
- Assist in diagnostic work area as needed
- May supervise students at the discretion of the area supervisor
Requirements
- Licensed as an ARRT
- Registered as a SCRQSA
- BLS – Healthcare provider on hire or within 30 days of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- CT registry preferred, but not required, within 6 months of departmental orientation completion date
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT / CNMT certification
Skills
Knowledge of computerized tomography diagnostic procedures, ability to operate diagnostic equipment, and strong attention to detail are essential skills for this position.
