CT Technologist Weekend-Imaging Part Time Evenings

Job Description

This is a part time position at 24 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. This role is a part of the Weekend Program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. Schedule for this role is 2 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday - 12:00PM - 12:30AM. Holidays required when applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT) within 12 months of hire
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable)
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes
• Captures exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system
• Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
• Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, Infection prevention measures safe practices (as applicable to the role)
• Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, growth
• Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs
