About the Role
Perform CT imaging examinations across multiple facilities, supporting patient care in high-acuity cases such as trauma and stroke. Work under the supervision of imaging coordinators and radiologists, ensuring proper patient identification, safety, and image quality. Support system-wide imaging initiatives and adapt to various units within your specialty. May be required to take call and float to other regional facilities.
Responsibilities
- Execute CT scans following department protocols and safety standards.
- Administer contrast agents as ordered, adhering to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning, image critique, and timely completion of studies.
- Operate CT equipment and information systems effectively.
- Support system-wide imaging initiatives and demonstrate clinical excellence across diverse settings.
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography Certification and relevant state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1+ years CT experience in a high-level trauma hospital.
- Comfortable traveling, adaptable, and capable of working 36-40 hours weekly on 8–13 week assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT CT Certification.
- IV and sedation modules.
- Facility-specific certifications.
Pay
Compensation is a flat rate of $80/hour, with housing reimbursement for assignments over 50 miles from home.
Caregivers are responsible for their own housing.
