About the role

Under the direction of a qualified physician, the CT Technologist performs both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines. Responsibilities include transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, maintaining the hospital computer system with exam progress, and ensuring outstanding customer service while maintaining respectful relationships with all individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for CT procedures.
• Be responsible for designated areas, policies, and equipment.
• Adhere to age-specific guidelines for patient care.
• Maintain and update the hospital computer system with exam progress.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Experience with Siemens and Philips CT scan equipment.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to image quality and radiation safety.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Adult and child/infant CPR certification.
• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment.
• Organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must pass background and drug test screenings.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience as a CT Technologist.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (R) (CT) certification preferred; must obtain CT ARRT within 1 year if not already certified.
• Florida State License – General Radiographer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Schedule

• Wednesday–Monday: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
