CT Technologist - Rotation

About the role

Performs CT procedures to acquire diagnostic images, under supervision, using advanced technology and established protocols. Ensures patient safety and proper preparation, positioning, and shielding. Maintains knowledge of multiple CT systems and clinical histories to select appropriate protocols. Conducts CT examinations, including interventional and advanced CTA procedures, while adhering to safety guidelines and dose management protocols. Interprets technical factors to optimize image quality and speed. Collaborates with radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, injectors, and computer systems to produce diagnostic images
• Perform a range of CT exams, including CTA and interventional procedures
• Maintain protocols based on clinical guidelines and dose management
• Ensure patient safety through proper preparation and shielding
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic quality
• Stay current with technological and clinical advancements in CT imaging

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required)
• Knowledge of operating various CT systems and advanced imaging techniques
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to imaging
• Ability to interpret technical factors for optimal imaging
• Strong attention to patient safety, preparation, and positioning
• Commitment to ongoing learning and adherence to guidelines such as Image Gently
