About the Role
Perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, and assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.
Responsibilities
- Obtain correct patient orders and ensure proper identification and preparation.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize patient safety following ALARA principles.
- Evaluate image quality, document activities, and transfer data accurately.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
- Prepare and administer medications.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Certified by ARRT or NMTCB and ARRT-CT.
- Graduate education in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in routine and complex duties.
- Adherence to policies and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, technical skills, and ability to work independently.
