About the Role

A Cat Scan Technician performs a variety of CT scan procedures, prioritizing patient care and ensuring high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and anatomical parts according to protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast agents under radiologist guidance
• Practice radiation safety
• Assist physicians during examinations
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Handle patient scheduling and quality control
• Ensure accurate documentation in computer systems
• Support student technologists through instruction and performance evaluation
• Participate in staff training
• Maintain a professional attitude and adapt to changing responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum three years hospital experience preferred
• Valid New Jersey license and ARRT certification
• CT certification within 12-24 months of hire
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
