About the Role

At the direction of a radiologist, operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols, and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images and archives them with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors.

Schedule

Monday through Sunday, 9 PM to 7 AM. 7 days on, 70 days off per year. FTE: 0.875

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT and related equipment under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Perform CT studies following specific guidelines and protocols while ensuring radiation protection.
  • Review and archive images with associated patient data.
  • Interact with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • 1–2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
