Join Intermountain Health as a CT Technologist supporting both American Fork Hospital and Saratoga Springs Emergency Department. In this role, you'll perform advanced CT imaging while caring for a diverse patient population across both hospital and emergency department settings alongside an experienced imaging team.

About the role

Locations: American Fork Hospital and Saratoga Springs Emergency Department

Full-time, 7-on/7-off night shift (10 hr shifts). Shift differentials available in addition to base pay. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance available for eligible applicants.

Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(RT)(R) Radiography Certification/Registration
  • Relevant State licensure (where required)
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

Preferred Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Computed Tomography Certification/Registration (ARRT)(RT)(CT)
  • 1+ years CT experience
  • Completion of controlled substance module (where applicable)
  • Completion of initial moderate sedation module (where applicable)
  • Facility-based certifications as required by specific locations

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity, review orders, and prepare patients for CT examinations
  • Perform CT procedures according to department protocols while ensuring patient safety and image quality
  • Administer contrast materials and follow established contrast protocols as appropriate
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
  • Operate CT equipment and related information systems to obtain diagnostic-quality images
  • Provide exceptional patient care, education, and support throughout the imaging process

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring clear verbal communication, hearing, and understanding of spoken information, alarms, and needs, especially during emergencies
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation and medication preparation
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve and carry supplies and equipment, including heavy items
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
  • Navigation of crowded and busy rooms with equipment and power cords
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for extended periods

Pay

Hourly range: $39.16 - $60.42 (dependent upon experience). Scheduled weekly hours: 35.

Schedule

Full-time, 7-on/7-off night shift (10-hour shifts) with a full week off between rotations.
