About the Role
A Diagnostic CT Technologist performs CT imaging procedures following established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity, review medical records, and interview patients to gather medical history.
- Explain procedures and potential risks to patients.
- Set up imaging equipment, acquire and review images, and communicate findings to radiologists.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
- Provide post-care instructions to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Educate residents, students, and new staff on imaging techniques and protocols.
- Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.
- May be required to take call or standby shifts.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
- Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) BLS training.
- At least one year of radiology technologist experience or advanced CT certification.
