About the Role

A Diagnostic CT Technologist performs CT imaging procedures following established protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity, review medical records, and interview patients to gather medical history.
  • Explain procedures and potential risks to patients.
  • Set up imaging equipment, acquire and review images, and communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Educate residents, students, and new staff on imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.
  • May be required to take call or standby shifts.

Requirements

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
  • Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) BLS training.
  • At least one year of radiology technologist experience or advanced CT certification.

  • Effective communication with diverse patients and staff.
  • Physical stamina for patient handling.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for operating imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
