About the Role

Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images of specified body parts, ensuring high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. Work independently with minimal supervision while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet and verify patient identity, review medical history, explain procedures, and address concerns. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Clinical Duties: Position patients, operate scanners, administer contrast media, and assist with invasive procedures as needed. Follow protocols to produce diagnostic images within quality standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Use radiation-reducing techniques, protect personnel, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and safety guidelines.
  • Information Systems: Ensure accurate documentation, image matching in PACS, and manage related data and reports efficiently. Perform tasks like burning images to CDs when required.
  • Departmental Duties: Stay current with training, maintain equipment, assist with scheduling, and support workflow improvements. Maintain active credentials and participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Board certification by ARRT.
  • Valid Ohio Radiographer license.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient positioning, and equipment operation.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
