CT Technologist, Full Time, 10 Hour, Days

About the role

Performs computed tomography exams and procedures with maximal image quality, patient safety and comfort while maintaining the lowest possible radiation exposure. Exams and procedures include all parts of the vasculature structures and organ systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs computed tomography exams and procedures with maximal image quality, patient safety and comfort while maintaining the lowest possible radiation exposure.
• Exams and procedures include all parts of the vasculature structures and organ systems.
• Knowledge of all vasculature and organ systems.
• Knowledge of all CT guided invasive procedures.
• Skilled in the use of contrast agents.
• Basic patient care and assessment techniques.
• Knowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection and medical terminology.
• High degree of accuracy in positioning and radiation exposure techniques.

Requirements

• State of California CRTARRT certification in CTVenipuncture certification and/or documentation of trainingCPR/BLSClinical training – Three (3) years’ experience in diagnostic radiography in an acute care facilityOne (1) year in a CT setting of an acute care facility

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience scanning in CT in an acute care facility
• Fluoroscopy certification
